Aunty Alice to me, was such a huge part of my life growing up, I remember she always knew exactly what to say and when to say it to make you feel better. I remember when I was 12 and a half, very important that half, I wanted to get my ears pierced and Mum wouldn't let me till I was 13. Well....... Aunty Alice did her bossy big sister thing until she convinced my Mum to do it that day out shopping. That was a lovely memory for me as a child and that is just one of hundreds of stories I could share. Through my eyes as a child she was loved and respected by everyone and was the kindest person I knew. Aunty Alice always listened, no matter what she was doing she would always give you the time. She helped me on my journey to becoming who I am today and for that I will be eternally grateful. Although she has been out of contact for several years she has always remained in my heart and she always will do... We all loved hearing about OOR Sheila in Adelaide and she lived on that trip every day of her life when she came back and I know in my heart she will be, both with Sheila and I in Australia. As you all know Aunty Alice was a huge believer in the after life, and helped me so much, so I take huge comfort and I ask you to do the same that she is now with Uncle Bill, all her brothers, and of course her Mum and Dad Gran and Grandad Cooper what a party they will have and I can hear her already bossing them all about and helping Aunty Maggie like she did for so many years. This is for you Aunty Alice because I know you are listening, enjoy your afterlife, we will be fine till we meet again, give my Dad a hug from me, I am proud to be named after you! All my love little Alice xx
